I am a fourth-generation San Jose native with familial roots in present-day Mexico and Philippines. As a daughter of the Eastside, I create, study, and work with a focus on highlighting the power of community and celebrating the culture through creative story-telling. I believe our creative work together is key to shifting the dominant narrative; and, my hope is that East of King will offer a comfortable space for sharing our stories, capturing our moments, and documenting our history.
